Clark appointed general manager at Pembroke refinery

Morgan Clark has been appointed as the new general manager at Texaco’s Pembroke refinery. He succeeds Des King who is taking up the post of CEO and managing director of Caltex Australia.

Clark joined Unocal in 1977 and during his first 19 years with the company held numerous positions in its refining organisation. Since 1998 he has worked in a variety of commercial positions at Unocal’s former corporate headquarters in El Segundo, California, United States.

Following Chevron’s merger with Unocal in 2005, he has been working in Chevron’s Global Gas organisation where he focused on the Asia Pacific LNG strategy development and acted as Chevron’s representative to the Sasol–Chevron gas-to-liquids global joint venture.

Wishing him well in his new role, Des King said, “Morgan brings a strong combination of commercial skills and refining experience that will be of great value to Pembroke.”

He added, “I have enjoyed my time at Pembroke refinery and have been impressed with the commitment and focus of the people I have worked with. I feel confident that with Morgan’s strong background he will be the right person to continue our journey to strengthen Pembroke’s strategic position and build a solid future for the refinery.”
